Aloha
Aloha kakou,
We want to thank everyone who has supported Ho'omalie this past year by either
purchasing our CD, "Only You", or attending one of our performances.
We have been busy promoting our music locally and globally, playing for
concert audiences as well as for kupuna and keiki in elderly care homes and
oncology wards. The rewards have been profound. It's always been our contention
that we, the musicians, are merely the vessels for this music and when ego and
human agenda is removed from the equation, the music will stand alone in it's
purest and most beautiful form. This is what we continue to strive for as
Hawaiian artists and hopefully, you can hear this in our recording.
We have been selected by a panel of distinguished judges as a nominee for
"Best Hawaiian Language Performance" in this year's Na Hoku Hanohano
Awards.
The event will be televised in Hawai'i
and held at the Hawai'i Convention Center on June 20, 2007. This category is
voted on by the panel and not the public, so to be selected for this category
is a great honor. This also means the winning selection will be judged on it's
merit and content, without bias or popular name recognition by the voting
academy.
We are truly proud to be nominated for this prestigious award and we simply
request that you hold us in your thoughts and visualize us taking home a Hoku
this year.
Your positive energy has helped us have a very successful year so far, and
we will continue to promote the beautiful, soothing sounds of Hawaiian Music,
so join with us on June 20 for some "collective visualization and
manifestation". Heal the world through music...
Mahalo,
Ho'omalie - Zanuck Kapala Lindsey, John-Heizer Enos, Lopaka
Ho'opi'i, & Kimo Hussey
